An introduction and two questions.

THE INTRODUCTION:
Hello World!
My name is Juan, I am Spanish and sometimes I try and do different crafts. You can see some of my old crafts in my old DeviantArt account: www.deviantart.com/julofi
And I am bored and I want to try to make some proper bracelets, using different techniques.
FIRST QUESTION:
Years ago I made some bracelets wrapping thread around plastic strapping, like the one used in packaging. Like this:
You can see some of the bracelets I made here: https://www.deviantart.com/julofi/gallery/64673158/friendship-bracelets
A coworker taught me to make them (although he made them a lot simpler). The case is that these last couple of weeks while I researched about bracelets and braiding and its different techniques, I noticed that I haven't found any information about these type of bracelets (wrapping thread around strapping forming text and patterns).
Do you know about it? Some web with info about it? Should I provide some info myself? It has been 13 years since the last time I made them.
SECOND QUESTION:
Ten days I ordered from a Chinese shop a pack of thread (polyester 1mm thick, waxed) of 30 different colours and this thing;
What kind of bracelets I can make with it? I always see the same type in all the examples.
THANKS!

First question:
Yes, we have a tutorial for those bracelets somewhere.
Second question:
With string and clasps you can make any normal or alpha bracelet. I don’t know about the wooden thing.

The wooden thing is used to make the cobra and king cobra bracelets, It uses 4 strings and the two central strings are fixed. You don't move them, you knot around them, so you clasp the four strings on a side of the wooden thing and the two central strings on the other side of the wooden thing, and you can move around freely the other two strings.
I bought it without really knowing what I was buying, and the pics in the web that sell the wood thingie are misleading because they show a lot of bracelets where this tool cannot be used. So I hope to find other type of bracelets that can work with this tool. It is not so big a deal, it cost me only 6 €, delivery included.

About the bracelets wrapping around plastic. After my post, I found several tutorials in Youtube:

and many more. Curiously, it seems this technique is more popular in Spain and Latin-American countries than in the rest of the world.
Thanks for replying.
