How many centimeters do I need for the base threads of a 16cm bracelet?

Have you made an alpha before? Then you can measure how long a certain amount of rows is and use that to calculate how many rows would be 16cm long.

The base strings in an alpha always need to be the length of the bracelet plus some extra for loops and ties. If you are doing a loop, the base strings need to be double the length.

It is difficult to know exactly, it depends on how you knot, what type of loop and braids you are using, etc. I would say it is more is better than less, dont be afraid to add some cemtimiters just in case.
