As long as the pattern is more or less like the pattern, you’re good ;-)
You can post a link to the picture if it’s uploaded somewhere, like on imgur for example. Or post the picture to the pattern once you’re finished. You can link it from there too.

I saw it. The kumihimo looks good to me, maybe a little bit tight, but the pattern looks fine to me. :-)

So what’s a good way to make it looser? Less weight or more?

Mainly pulling less hard on the strings when moving them. The counterweight is less important, unless it’s too heavy. And I don’t think it is. If the weight is too heavy it’ll result in an uneven braid. It will probably be more loose, but not in a nice way.

Maybe you were moving the wrong strings. That happened to me when my foam disk wasn't big enough and all the strings were stacked up on top of each other. If the pattern still doesn't show, try a thinner bracelet. The one you are doing has a lot of strings.
