leahmc: You can get Iris in the UK if you're able to use Amazon, I discovered this not so long ago! I've only been able to find it there, as far as I'm aware the only other place you'll find a decent knockoff brand is maybe Argos. Otherwise it's Anchor and DMC, which can be a bit of a pain if you only need cheap stuff.

Iris floss is great but I don't like some of the dark colors. The brand is made here but looks like it's way cheaper in the US, here I pay about 15 cents per skein.

The thing I've found about the Iris floss is that it's actually very similar to another brand of cheaper floss I pick up, Duchess. The Duchess has more of a "really soft cotton" texture but how they knot up, the intensity of the colour dye, they're all very very similar.

Aah, thank you, I'll have a look at Iris on amazon now! Yeah, all I really use at the moment is Anchor and DMC.
