I don't make a knot with the new thread. I put the new thread behind my bracelet and fasten it with tape. Then I just start knotting with it. I put the old thread away. After you knot a few rows with the new thread, you can cut the old off.

I know some people who hot glue the new string onto the back, but Cathelijn's method probably works better :) |

Cathelijn, if you just cut off the threads, isn't there a chance that the connecting knots will loose up? I suggest including the loose ends in a nearby knot, then they will be locked! |

Yea, I understand your problem. I've tried this a few times and it works for me.
