ah thanks. on the diagram on the bottom with the arrows, do the blue arrows pointing down just mean do take the blue string and go over the yellow one? :\

Um sort of. Basically what you do is when you get to the yellow part you take the yellow string and tie a knot on the blue string going the opposite way that you are tying the blue string. Does that make sense?
