im confused with pattern 499. i followed the pattern and at the end, the second and fourth strings are the same color, but when u start the pattern, the first three at the same color. basically, i dont know what to do once i follow the pattern because its different from the top. can anyone help me?

just skip the last two rows that are shown on the pattern... they're exactly the same as the first two rows and should not be on the pattern.

So: you can skip the last two rows and continue from row 1;
or knot the last two rows and then continue from row 3 instead of row 1
