I love that bracelet, but when I started making it, it didn't turn out at all like it did in those pictures. Am I doing something wrong? Was there a mistake in the pattern that everyone else but me figured out?

It does look a little like the pattern has corrupted... like it has lost a few lines. You might be better off trying to follow one of the completed pictures that you like, if you can manage that.
