I didn't translate it. I just followed the diagrams step by step. After the first diagram there is a step by step sequence showing you how to set the threads out.

Basically you start by picking up both strands of your first colour (dark blue in the diagram) and knotting each one around half of your threads, then joining them together. Just normal forward and backward knots. You should be able to follow the diagrams once you realise you're knotting around multiple threads sometimes.
