You all probably get this question all the time, but I need to ask it anyway lol.

How do you read the patterns? Like I know what the arrows mean, and I know all 4 of the knots. But I don't understand how you know which string to start from or when to switch strings. And the lower and upper case letters throw me off too; what do they signify?

I've been doing great with video tutorials, but this site has some really awesome patterns that I'm desperate to make in bracelets lol.

At the very top of the pattern before the knots even start, you can see which order the strings go in from the top of the knots. You said you know the knot arrows; the circles are the color that you tie on top, whatever color the circle is. I hope that helped.

Yeah that cleared things up a little :]

at the bottom of the oage it shows which way the knots go and you follow that to make your bracelet.
