I think its pretty much the same as the link inops gave only instead or wrapping around 5=10 pieces of string they wrapped around something else. Most likely to save thread and make the bracelets more sturdy.

I guess just tie to different colored threads to whatever you wanna cover and wrap it around very close till you get to one end and then loosely wrap it back to the end you started on... sounds really easy, i should try this sometime

In all honestly... those are some of the easiest bracelets you can make. At least, I find them to be.

I'm definitely gonna give it a try. I printed off the patterns. Too bad I forgot to get the chord stuff when I went to Michael's x.x
