I've been using the new alpha generater for bracelet requests from school, and most of them take a long time cuz I have to do each individual square... Then I noticed the "fill mode" and I haven't been able to figure it out... can anybody tell me how to use fill mode?

Make sure the whole area that you want to fill in is bordered by the color you want to fill in. I found that sometimes it only will fill in a row at a time instead of the whole area, but it's faster than square by square! I also have to click on the area to be filled a couple of times sometimes. I hope that helps.
