KHark

I don't remember how I came about the Klutz Friendship Bracelet book (likely a gift), but I did so when I was about 11 years old. It was slow going in the beginning - for many years I dared not to venture outside of the bracelets within that book. And then I started working at a summer camp. Suddenly bracelets were a hot commodity and something to be greatly admired. At that point I decided to expand my efforts and break free. I discovered this website a few years ago, and after carefully dipping my toes in the water, I dove right in about two summers ago. Since then I'm always on the lookout for new and challenging patterns that can be made even better by just the right combination of colors.

In my free time ( ;-) ) I am a graduate student in Clinical Psychology and work whatever jobs I can find to make money. I always wanted to have some kind of talent, something I did really well, and I think that beyond being a complete nerd, these bracelets are it. It only took me 12 years to get there. :-)

People marvel at the detail and tell me that there's no way they could ever do them (and perhaps they couldn't), but I am of the firm belief that everyone can do even the simple ones. I love seeing the children master a new pattern before going back to their game of Harry Potter: Wizard Duel or Dungeons and Dragons. But for those who insist these bracelets are beyond their abilities, I am more than happy to create something new and colorful - just for them.
