I started making friendship bracelets when I was a kid and about 12 yrs old. Back then they were a new thing and basically only diagonal forward knot patterns. I am now nearly 49 yrs old and have gotten back into doing them. I have picked up many methods and patterns to try out and I am enjoying this newfound love of making them. I am also trying beading with a bead loom. I recently got a Kumihimo disc and have discovered this is my favourite way to make bracelets now as it is much faster, uses less string and the possibilities are endless. After finding this site I have become a happy camper with the ability to discover so many great patterns to try out.
