does anyone else do this???:
this is the way i was originally taught to make friendship bracelets
you know how on the second line of a pattern you dont use the 2 outside threads?? well with pattern 1 and a few others i use them and it lets me make bracelets like #1 with only three strings

I don't know if you understand this but instead of working across, on some paterns(candy stripe, chevron,hearts etc.) I work going down. Like instead of working in pairs, on some patterns I'll do one whole side of a section of the block(eg. 1 pig on a bracelet or 1 heart etc.) and then I'll do the other side.
