Chineese staircase loop by CelticPriestess 11 years ago

I've been seeing some pretty cool loops at the beging of bracelets made with the Chinese staircase knot. Can someone help me with this or direct me to a tutorial that can help?
Thanks!

https://www.friendship-bracelets.net/tutorial.php?id=2075 While it says it's for odd strings, this can still be modified to be an even string bracelet. Here is another easy bracelet buckle that looks like a mix between the square knot and chinese staircase if this is was you were looking for. https://www.friendship-bracelets.net/tutorial.php?id=1971 I hope this helps =)

If you are interested, I can PM you directions on how to do the buckles I use for nearly all of my bracelets that works out for even and odd stringed patterns. Its more straight slong the outside of the buckls vs the chenese staircase that spirals.

personally i use a square knot with a different string but you can also use a straight staircase ( not real name not sure what it is ) all you have to do is preform a bunch of forward backward knots until you are at the size buckle you want.
