i need help understanding the alpha patterns, i am completely lost, i want to make https://www.friendship-bracelets.net/alpha_pattern.php?id=153 and i dont know where to start. like how many string do u use, like i know in the regular pattern is says use 14 strings for example but in the alpha i dont know how many, and what type of knots do i use and which picture should i look at and follow. i have read the tutoral and i am still lost. can someone please help me

the alpha tutorial explains it very well, and there's a video at the bottom too :-)

for A153 you take 19 letter strings (in the info part below the pattern you can find the "dimensions" so you won't have to count the boxes), and one long background thread. keep the background thread as a whole skein, and wrap it round a bobbin for easier use. then you just follow the grid...
