Rejected Patterns by BeyondBracelets 9 years ago

I have been having my patterns rejected the past three or four times I've submitted- usually I just shrug it off but this time it is bothering me more.

This time I've worked really hard to give someone a special pattern and it was rejected for a reason I do not quite understand. I know the rules of posting and this was not copied, random, etc.

While I rather not 'call out' anyone- I would like the moderators to answer as to why my patterns are being rejected so often... because at this point I am feeling like there is a vendetta against me.

Thank you.

One more note... by BeyondBracelets 9 years ago

I've already messaged Stefan regarding this issue and am waiting for his consult since in the past I've had the exact same problem. He's gone back and approved things for me before due to this.

I think it might be because there is a very similar pattern on here. But theres nothing against u.
Maybe theres one on another site.

The pattern mentioned is very random. If we check a pattern, we don't look at the name of the creator first, so there's never any vendetta going on.
If you have problems with us you can PM one of the moderators or post a private guestbook-entry. Stefan does not take part in the checking process. And we never discuss as to why we rejected a pattern in public.

RE: Rejected Patterns by BeyondBracelets 9 years ago

I understand it was random so that is why I ended up putting tons of tags in the submission to "make sure" it was not construed as a random pattern.

It is a lizard skin- one which I feel was executed fairly well.

I've had other patterns that were not random rejected as well and, being cautious, I almost always check to make sure there are no similar patterns first.

I'm sorry... It's just that it is very disappointing when someone can't find a pattern and asks me to make it. I then spend 2 hours making it and depend on the moderators to accept it so the person can view it only to have it rejected in the end.

Since the past three posts I've submitted have been rejected I've been posting the reject patterns on my own site because I would like them visible to the public in cases of people asking for the pattern (or) me following up in a tutorial and needing a link to the grid. Stefan deserves the traffic directed to this site and so I rather direct people here instead of my own personal page... but can't do that when the patterns are rejected. That's all.

Anyway- Thank you for replying and "happy" to hear I'm just being paranoid. lol.

I have the same problem every pattern I try to post is rejected and they don't give me a reason why and I have read the rules of posting and they did not break any of them

RE: Rejected Patterns by kleinevos (moderator) 9 years ago

We always give reasons why, but we don't have the time to write it out on every pattern. That's why we leave the 'https://www.friendship-bracelets.net/faq.php?id=43' message on rejected patterns.
And there's always a good reason for rejecting.

Read our TOU before posting another complaint, because the TOU states clearly that it's not allowed to discuss admin-actions in the forum .....

RE: Rejected Patterns by BeyondBracelets 9 years ago

I'm not discussing "admin actions" as you say. I am more discussing general functions of this site which, in this case, are involving moderators. There were no names involved leaving everyone's decisions and actions remain anonymous as usual.

No anger, just frustration. No complaining, just disappointment.

I have gone through all of the proper procedures in order to submit my patterns here. I then wait patiently a week or so before being able to make my pattern live - some which I plan on doing videos on ASAP. After waiting the week or so I then notice it has been rejected leaving me in a rut. I then am faced with the guilt of hosting the pattern image on my own site taking thousands of views away from Stefan.

He has told me there was lots of extra traffic generated through my youtube video promotions of this page so I am more than disappointed for myself each time a pattern I need is rejected- especially since it seems moderators don't have the ability to repeal the decision. That means my two hours making a pattern were wasted completely.

I have gone to a moderator here (that I knew of and seemed to trust) before about a 'rejected pattern' and they told me that there is nothing they can do when it has been rejected. That is a big problem.

I then had to bother Stefan (waiting another week because the poor guy is busy) to repeal the decision in order to get the link for my video.

I'm getting my time wasted and it is not benefiting anyone- not me, because I am backed up as it is, and not this site because when I post on my page I'm not letting FBnet get their rightfully earned views for their awesome generator.

You can throw the TOU at me instead of actually responding but your interpretation of my actions are completely wrong. This was not complaining so much as it was disappointment and overall frustration of the functions of this site. SMH

@BeyondBracelets, can you show us that lizard pattern? You can still get an URL address to the image of rejected pattern and link it here :)
And I watched a few of your videos and I like them, I understand why you feel disappointment, but I think that moderators had their reasons... My patterns were rejected to several times ;)

RE: Rejected Patterns by squeaker14 9 years ago

I understand, only 4 of my patterns out of 14 I've done made it.
