Get 6 72" strands. Fold them in half and tie an overhand knot to secure the threads.

Step by Step

Step 1

Now, take the furthest left strand and tie 5 left knots to the center. Next, take the furthest right strand and tie 5 right knots to the center. Repeat three times, tying one less knot each time.

Step 2

Next, tie two right knots on the left side on each of the next 4 rows. Repeat with left knots on the right side.

Step 3

Tie a right knot with the two center strands. Tie a right/left (reverse) knot on the right side. Tie a left/right (reverse) knot on the left side. Tie the strands together again.

Step 4

Tie two left knots on the left side on each of the next four rows. Repeat with right knots on the right side.

Step 5

Repeat to desired length.

Happy knotting!
