Started doing these WAAAY back in junior high when I just kinda just taught myself how to make the regular diagonal "candy stripe" kind... Well, I was only about 12/13 then & when I turned 32, I just REALLY needed SOME sort of "relaxing activity" to help me with my insomnia & anxiety- and I had mentioned that I used to enjoy making these things & my amazingly sweet boyfriend came home 1 day with a HUGE plastic tote box with over 70 little compartments & not one but TWO (one had lots of blacks whites browns & the basic "ROYGBIV" Colors & shades, and the other had a lots of NEONS, glow in the dark, and much brighter colors as well as lots of pastel hues!) so- 2 huge bags of 135 spools of strings- so, well over 250 new spools of string for me to get started with it again, a box to keep them organized in, 2 new pairs of nice sharp little scissors, a bunch of assorted buttons, beads.... You name it& he just brought it all home for me 1 say after I had been feeling really depressed lately... So, thanks to Tyler & my boredom- here I am again!
for me- here I am again! But, yeaaah- let's just say I haven't made a simple candy striped one now in probably over 18 months & if I make any with less than 9 STRINGS, I feel like it's always "lacking" something! (I'm 33 now, btw)
So. I just am writing this really quick for the first time since I made an account here... Will fix this up better layer but I honestly just downloaded a few new patterns im ITCHING to try out! Gotta run!!!
