yea clipboard works best for me, its easy to spread the strings.

Or I'll use a safety pin if I need it on-the-go

I use an old carabiner that used to be on my keychain when I make a bracelet with a top loop. You can hook it to nearly anything if it can fit (binder ring, clip board, purse/backpack strap, bike handle etc.)

If you don't know what a carabiner is here ya go:

I feel like I'm the only person that just uses their fingers to hold a bracelet.

I have a loop at the top of my bracelets. I put the loop on a loop on a water bottle or scissors and pull the rest of the string through to make a cow hitch knot.

I am in the minority, as, when I make normal patterns, I use a water bottle. When I make alphas, I use tape and table.

I use a clipboard sometimes. I also use duct tape cuz duct tape usually sticks pretty well. Satin finished scotch tape usually sticks too.
