Is there a reason that the generator adds and removes strings in multiples of four instead of multiples of two? If this could be changed, I think it would allow for more varied and interesting patterns. Thank you!

Yes, there's a reason: The way our kumihimos are made requires sets of 4. You can make kumihimos in many different ways, but our generator can't handle that.

Craftdesignonline.com has generators that can handle different ways btw.

Ahhhh, that makes sense. I didn't think of it being dependent upon the opposite pairs setup and weaving type. Thank you so much for the answer, and I'll definitely check out the other one as well! :)
