Keeping flat plain braids straight by corieltauvus 9 years ago

Love flat braids. Evenly braided styles are easy to keep straight and square but what about the ones that are biased to one side? Mine always come out with uneven edges! Can anybody give me some tips? Bigger/smaller weight? Put more tension on each cord? Increase tension one side? Help!

I think adjusting after each round/sequence is the best option. Main part is to keep strings tight enough, but not too tight.
But flat braids are not easy. I've done a few in the past and only one or two were as straight as I like them to be. I'll have to practice more I guess. :-)
