there are just too many variables in determining string lengths for it to make sense to provide numbers -- see the FAQ.

what you should do instead is measure how long you cut the threads for each bracelet, and keep track of how much you used for each pattern. that way, you can make a very good estimate the next time you make a similar pattern :-)

Most of you could knot entire bracelets out of my scraps! The BRACELET is important, NOT the scraps. Don't worry about using too much, worry about not having enough! If you're not sure, make them longer. Saving a little bit of string is not worth risking HOURS of work.
