I really with this site had a search engine so we can search for what we want! But I hope someone can help me here. I'm looking for a pattern like this.

I'm sure if I try really hard I can figure out how to do this on my own... But I'm new to this and a pattern would be appreciated.

i think i can explain the second one, but i dont hitnk that the generator on this site allows it to be made into a pattern.

It looks to me like they use 8 strings in total

First, start out with the basic V pattern-> https://www.friendship-bracelets.net/pattern.php?id=2

then after a few rows, break up all the strings into two groups. (for each 'bar' in the ladder)

take the outside string and tie a forwards knot around the other 3 strings in that group. if done correctly, you should get a spiral effect as to where the knot lands. repeat this several times until it is a good length.

do this same thing to the other side, creating the other part of the 'ladder'

then, continue along with the V pattern.


i hope this helps, im probably not as good at explaining to other people what i see in my mind, but this is actually a really cool idea that ive never thought of, and im definately gonna try and make it. good luck

i know how to make those totem pole ones but i couldnt figure out how to make them on the generator. i got the instructions from the Klutz book so maybe you could find it. if not i will try to scan the pages and send you the links :)
