I live in Florida. I started knotting with my younger daughter when she came back from camp this summer. This is our way to spend time together and to relieve stress after my very demanding job. Colorful threads are like a magnet to my cats. They watch me with fascination. First they jumped around trying to catch the thread, finally they learned to sit close and watch with adoration. What a great way to have your family around you! My older daughter is very creative, she makes jewelry with silver wiring wrapped around gems. Check it out on www.wanderlingstrading.com. My husband is very supportive. I want to make him something but don't know what to knot that is manly enough. My younger daughter already has all her arms covered, now I am working on anklets. These days I am working on tapestries. Same idea as friendship bracelets using macrame knots, but making flat picture. And of course the first one is dreamy black cat. There will be more cats. One pattern I made myself and another one by Sareana. Thanks to everybody who helped me or came up with suggestions.
