I'd like to create a pattern, where some knots are skipped in certain rows. But I can only change the type of the knot instead of "deleting" it...Is there a way?

No there’s no way, our generator can’t handle that.

You could place fb and bf knots for these knots. This way it won't affect the pattern, when you leave the knots out while knotting. And you could just write in the comments which knots are intended to be left out.
