An Easier Way to Fasten Bracelets by madelineelaine 13 years ago

If you are having trouble creating the buckle fasten, you could always buy hooks and loops like the kind that are found on necklaces. I just tie the strings around the loop before i make the bracelet. when i'm done with the bracelet, i tie the hook on the other end. it makes it seem professional and it is easier to take on and off. :)

I used to do that, and I think I will start doing it again. :)

I used to do that too. I just seem to have a problem with the string breaking or I lose the hooks, so I stopped doing it. It was simply frustration for me. haha. Plus, I wouldn't have to buy hooks all the time. For the buckle design, it wasn't hard, but I figured to do my take on it. So, I made the first half of the buckle (the loop) and tied a leftover button I would have at the end of bracelet. So I just button the bracelet itself. I ended up doing this because the end of the buckle varied on the size of the wrist, the design and whatnot. :)
