Alright, so i've seen the tut on the multicolored alphas https://www.friendship-bracelets.net/tutorial.php?id=507

but i was wondering, between the "String substitution during tying" and the "Multiple letter strings", what do you guys prefer? is one better than the other?

I feel that substitution is always better. With multiple strings, you get a much chunkier bracelet, and you can sometimes see the background strings. When I made one with multiple strings, it was really hard, and looked pretty bad.
