Idea for new generator save: recolour mode for personal use by littlemissH 4 years ago

I think the generator tool is really helpful for redesigning an existing pattern with the colours you are actually using, I understand why you don't want multiple versions of the same pattern on the website but I wish there was a way to save these type of patterns to your own account for personal use. At the moment if the page is refreshed the pattern is lost. It can be much easier to follow instead of having to remember that the green in the pattern is actually your purple thread especially when there are many threads or the same colours just used in a different order (I had problems when reordering threads in rainbow patterns).

I don't know if it's possible but it could also be good if you could 'import' a pattern using it's #number so all the correct knots are there and then just change the colours. That way the site knows it's an existing pattern and it won't be uploaded for everyone to see.

Completely did not realise the pending section existed, sorry!

Please do never save an existing recolored pattern! Read our TOU, it clearly states that you are risking a ban if you submit existing patterns. You can make a screenshot instead, for your own use. The pending section, and the rejected pattern section, are not meant for storing recolored, or otherwise copied, patterns. Apart from the fact that it takes the moderators a lot of time to check, reject and report all of these patterns, it also takes up too much server-space if everyone would save these.

Have a look at our tutorial for our alternative generator. That one has all of the possibilities you mentioned.

How about edit any patterns and be able to change the colors you like and make a copy of it instead of having to regenerate the pattern with your own colors but you can not save it because it already has a pattern but not the colors you like that is the problem

In the previous answer, everything is clearly explained.

*You can change the color of any pattern to those of your preference.

*To save them, take a screenshot.

*You cannot save modified patterns on the site, it violates our rules and also takes up a lot of space on the server.

ok another stupid question, if there is a pattern that I saw that I liked how do I change the color I want for someone else pattern? do I have to copy a pattern in generator to have the colors I want to use?

Use this link: change colour . Change the final number of the link to the pattern number you like.

Each square corresponds to a string. To change its color, tap on it and the color box opens, choose the color you want and then OK.

When you finishes with all threads you make the screenshot.

This is the link:

https://www.friendship-bracelets.net/js_gen.php?edit=66747

When you copy the link in the browser bar, before pressing "enter", delete the end number (66747) and type the pattern number you want. Then press "enter"
