Selling Bracelets by ellamae 5 years ago

I'm thinking about selling some bracelets, but wondering how much money you can actually make from this. I really enjoy making them, but is it really worth the effort of listing, packaging, posting, etc? If I do sell them, I'm planning on using pearl cotton, which is much more cost effective than embroidery thread. I worked out it would be about 50p for a 10 string bracelet, so I could sell them for a reasonable price and still make some money off them.

Also, is etsy a good place? I've seen the fees have just recently gone up, maybe there's somewhere better to sell? I did see someone selling on depop once.

I'm only teenager so I'm just looking to make some money to buy stuff I want etc. I also have a lot of spare time on my hands when I should really do something better than watching youtube.

You will not become rich, and for me it is not really worth the effort, but I still sell via Etsy. It is more like a hobby. I knot much more bracelets than I could ever sell :-) Also, there are many shops that sell friendshipbracelets, and often for very low prices.
And the Etsy fees are not helping, that?s true .....
