I am 40 and have never made a bracelet before so I have no knowledge to start from. I want to make/buy a Jeep friendship bracelet and I found Alpha pattern A11186. The problem is I have no idea what I am doing. Do people sell these things cause that would be easier :).

So I looked at a few YouTube videos. Does this pattern call for two colors, and 31 strands? I'll have to keep searching for how to do each knot to represent the forward, backward and down arrows.

Also, a video I watched suggested you bring in a new color under the others but in this pattern. So in this pattern, would I bring in the second color after completing the first row and under the third string?

If anyone has pointers for a newbie I am wide open to suggestions.

Our other tutorial for alphas shows how to add colors in case you have more than two, or in case you want to knot this with the string-substitution-method you mentioned.
