New at bracelet making by Celtic_Knot 7 years ago

Hi everyone! I am new here as well as fairly new to bracelet making. I started with easy patterns and am gradually trying harder ones. Sometimes I get frustrated when the bracelet doesn't seem to look like the picture at the top. Then again, I am hard on myself if something isn't perfect (bracelets included.) I regret throwing some away.

Has anyone else gone through this?

Absolutely! Likewise, I am also a perfectionist and I bit new to bracelet making, so I sympathize the frustration you might experience. I hope that with practice you can eventually become better and be satisfied with your work ❤!

You need to practice a lot to learn to make 'perfect' bracelets, it might seem hard at the beginning but if you're dedicated you should be able to improve your knotting :-) Don't be afraid to make mistakes, you need mistakes to improve yourself!

The most common thing for beginners is that they are knotting too loose. The knots should be very close together, without gaps inbetween them.

When I first started, I couldn't finish any bracelets because I wasn't patient enough! I think it's great that you are able to finish them. Don't be too hard on yourself, knotting is fun! You'll learn a lot just by practicing and trying new patterns :). YouTube is a really good place to check too because you can watch tutorials demonstrating patterns. :)
