Best Ending for Buckle by lucisabsentia 7 years ago

Hey! Alright, so recently I've run into a slight problem. I need a new way to end friendship bracelets, something that allows it to be taken on and off and can preferably fit all size wrists. I've started using the Lark's Head Knot Buckle beginning (from this tutorial https://www.friendship-bracelets.net/tutorial.php?id=3282 ), but I cannot for the life of me seem to find a proper ending. There is an ending in that same tutorial for the Barnacle Knot Buckle. Would that still work?

The barnacle knot buckle is another way of making the buckle on the top, it is NOT a way of ending the bracelet.

Most people finish with the shaping technique and 2 braids, that you can tie on the buckle loop.

Another way is the bottom-loop it is explained with square/macramae knots but an also be made with chinese staircase knots.

Buckles are also excellent as button holes: Adding a button to the Bottom of a Bracelet

Ah, sorry, I worded that poorly. I know the barnacle knot buckle is another beginning. I just meant that underneath the barnacle knot buckle on that tutorial, there was an ending for bracelets that use that, but I wasn't sure if the ending would work only for the barnacle knot buckle. I have a feeling it's specifically for that since that is more of a teardrop while the buckle I used is not.

Thank you for those suggestions though! I will check them out, and hopefully they'll be what I need! I've found it's more difficult to find ending tutorials than it is to find the beginning tutorials.

I wrote a tutorial on tying a bracelet with a lark's head buckle on one end and two braided cords on the other. If the braids are long enough they can accommodate a large verity of wrist sizes.
The braids are easy to loosen because they not tied so tight, but still hold the bracelet securely on your wrist.
