Selling Bracelets by lele97 7 years ago

Hey guys, I want to start selling my bracelets online but I have no idea how much should I charge for a bracelet. How much should a bracelet cost if I want to sell it but also make some profit? Is there a system that works for you (if you sell bracelets)?
Also, do you think I should use Etsy? Are there any equally good/better alternatives? Should I maybe stay on smaller local websites?

The only thing I know is that most people don't price them what they are worth. And I haven't had much luck with selling on Etsy myself so far. I've only sold two bracelets, to one buyer, this whole year....
A common price is 50 cents per string. But don't forget the Etsy and/or PayPal fees. For me, it isn't really worth the effort, but I've promised myself to try for at least a year.....

And you can almost never make a profit because they take time to make (esp. thick ones), you have to purchase supplies, etc. You almost need to go to craft sales and sell them there, but then it costs to purchase a table... :/ The only way it would be worth it for me is if I make a ton but don't wear them and I want to sell them to make money back, but I wouldn't be making much of a profit.

That's why I started selling. I have so many bracelets, and I just like to be able to buy new supplies with the money I receive. But then again, for me my bracelets are worth more than the money ....

That's actually the main reason why I want to sell them - I have so many and I have never worn some of them. So I thought it would be nice to make the money I put into them back.
But thanks for your advice, I will think about it and maybe start selling a few.
