When making bracelets, I don't know if I am pulling my strings too tight or just right. The knots aren't that identical, and don't look that neat. Any tips on making my knots look neater? And do you think I may be pulling too tight?

You'd have to show us a picture if you want a good opinion, but in most cases beginners are knotting to loose.
Your knots have to be touching each other without gaps in between them. That having said, some are knotting really neat and really tight, and others are knotting just as neat and less tight. Even tension is important, and that takes practice:-)
