Tips for bracelets from small pieces of threads by tootsieK 8 years ago

Hi all, I have a question. What are you doing with the pieces of threads that are not long enough to be used in more complicated patterns. Do you have some tips for patterns/bracelet where I can use these remains? I mean something like this https://www.friendship-bracelets.net/gallery.php?id=42713

Thanks for your tips!

I don't think that one uses scraps though.
You can use them for alpha-patterns, or for a fringe-bracelet. Or for turtles, mandalas, kumihimos, etc, etc.
I've once made a bracelet using a normal pattern, but turned 90 degrees. I only needed very short strings for that one :-)

Hi kleinevos, thanks for answer. What is a fringe-bracelet?
I'm afraid I do not have enough patience to make a bracelet from 90 degrees rotated pattern :))) But respect! :)

The tutorial for the fringe is here: fringe.

And 90 degrees turned doesn't mean that it's a big bracelet :-)
I meant this one. It's like a fringe, but normal pattern instead of alpha. Or in other words: a very very wide bracelet but very very short.

I didn't think that the 90 degrees turned bracelet it's big... but it seems to me to be more time consuming than regular bracelet. But to be honest, I still can't imagine how you made it - how you started and finished each part :) But I'll definitely try the fringe bracelet, thanks!

It's not difficult though. I might make a tutorial for it some day :-)
