HELP base string snapped (( Projects )) How to start a cell phone cover

hello. I was making a cell phone cover from @Foz's tutorial (( Projects )) How to start a cell phone cover. The base string that you pin down and not tie any knots with snapped mid project. Its the string you use to stitch the cover together at the end when you've reached the desired length. Is there any way to fix that string as it is the base for the whole project?

Is the string still inside the larksheadknots? If so, I'd try to glue it to make sure the knots don't slip of of that string, and then take a seperate string for sewing the phone cover together. |

The string is still inside the larkhead knots. I can try to glue it but could it not break due to pressure again? and how would I continue making it as while tying knots I'll have to be EXTREMELY DELICATE? |

You only needed the string for the first row. It shouldn't affect the rest of the project. Only other way is to remove the string and replace it for a new string. That might be difficult due to tight larksheadknots though. |
