What items are a MUST to begin?

Hello, so my name is April and I have a friend who recently showed me the bracelets she's made in the past but she told me she can't get her huge kit of stuff from her parents place... Loads of drama there and such. And her birthday is coming up and though I'm pretty broke at the moment, I wanted to try and put together some sort of "kit" that should get her through for a while once I have the $ to do so. So basically I have no idea where to start. My friend mentioned that she could work with as little as the thread and a clipboard but I really don't know where to start even with that info.

A clipboard and DMC or Anchor embroidery floss (or crochet yarn) is all you need to get started. A needle can come in handy sometimes to undo mistake knots, and ofcourse you need scissors.

If you've only got little cash you could start with none name brand threads too - friendship bracelet threads in a large bulk pack. You can buy these from a craft store pretty cheaply.

Yeah I think you only need a thread and a clipboard. I use DMC thread and my clipboard is a wooden one the one, ones that have a full clip are better so the thread can't slip through. (I don't know if that made sense about the clipboard) other accessories are probably a good pair of scissors and a ruler. Hope that helps, you are doing a great thing for your friend. :) |
