/// Hair Wrapping /// by Ukkey 8 years ago

Hey, Ya'll.
After the gos awfull trouble I had logging in I thought I'de become more active and starting by creating a forum on HAIR WRAPPING~!

Now some people will know what I'm talking about and others wont, so here is a quick overview.

HAIR WRAPPING ///
Is when you, wrap (NOT knot like some people think) embroydery floss, cotton, string or yarn around a stream / plait of hair to create a temorary 'braid' or 'wrap' in ones hair. Please see image below of my own handywork.

Alot of people know these from when you go on holiday and get the ladies down by the beach to wrap your hair in super speedy time with reels and reels of all sorts of yarn and pony beads.
I currently only wrap friends hair, but want to take this to fairs and festivals around the UK along with grizzley feathers and an abundance of trinkets crystals and other magical objects.

SO my forum starters are the following:

* Can you wrap? If so what kind/style?
*What do you use?
*What do people suggest to use? Spools, embroydery cotton, wool?
*Any Photos?

If you would like you ask me any questions, ask away.

I used to do this with my friends a lot =) We found that the easiest to wrap with was craft thread or embroidery thread. It's so much fun! I'm planning on using small feathers this summer with a charm at the very end =)
