How to price? by Jazzy5252 9 years ago

Hi there, I have been asked by some friends to make them bracelets, but I don't know how to price them. Can anyone help?

Sorry I posted this in two forums I posted it in the wrong one first.

Well, you should first work out how much your materials cost - how much you paid for your string, and how much you have used of it.

Then you must decide how much you want to pay yourself for your time. Work out how long it takes you to make the bracelet and then times that by the hourly rate.

The hourly rate all depends whether you want to pay yourself fairly, or only a token amount, or nothing at all.

If you work out all these costs per bracelet, and the price seems fair - go with that. If the price seems too much, then lower it to a price you think people will want to pay.

Another option is to ask your friends how much they want to pay, and then ask yourself whether you would be willing to work for that amount.
