Bracelets for adults by clare25273 9 years ago

Hi all,

I have just joined a few days ago and I love making friendship bracelets. Sometimes I like to wear the friendship bracelets I make via tutorials on here, I like wearing what I make. The point I'm trying to make is that I'm an adult so what do you think about adults wearing them? Do you think they look nice or do you think it might be to childish by wearing them?

Thank you :)
Clare

It depends on the bracelet. ;)

Yes they are! I have been doing Macram? for years and used to teach and sell. This type of Macram? is called Cavandolli (don't think if I spelled it correctly) or picture Macram?. It is fun to make belts also, earrings, necklaces. I have quite a few old books on Macram?. Check out sites doing Micro Macram?

Bracelets like this can be a great fashion accesoire for any outfit for any age!

It does depends on the bracelet a bit ofcourse, pastels and butterflies might be less suited to wear. I personally wear alot of the ones I make, both bigger and smaller patterns.

Is it a waste of time making and wearing them?

Time is what you make it. I make most of my bracelets for other people and they are ALL very happy to have something unique that took thought, talent, time, passion, and patience to create. Plus, I get a deep sense of self-satisfaction when I make something that can't be bought. Hey, if you are going to waste time anyway, does it matter what you do or if people like it?? :D

Waste of time? For me making bracelets is veeery relaxing! I make them for myself and for myself and I'm always proud of the effect, even if I'll never wear them. And I've a great moment everytime when I tie my new "masterpiece" on my friend wrist :)

I meant "for myself and my friends", looks like I'm very selfish :P
