heey, whats the difference between alpha and name patterns?
and the difference between making them

Name patterns are alphas, but alphas are not always name patterns :-)
There are two tutorials about alphas, multicolor alphas and alphas.
Basically name patterns are two- colored alphas, in which you use your base-strings to knot the letters.
