Best knot for same colour strings by antiprism 10 years ago

When same colour stings must be knotted, what choice of knot produces the most even looking bracelet?

Some possiblities could be:
* Any knot, it doesn't matter.
* Any unmixed (forward or backward) knot, it doesn't matter
* The unmixed (forward or backward) knot that caries the knotting string towards the bracelet centre
* Something more complicated, perhaps depending on adjacent knots in this or the previous (or the next?) line.

Thanks

I would vote for a forward knot, but a FB knot or a BF knot is a better choice in 1212 patterns. And I would do a backward knot if I'm doing a long diagonal line of backward knots.

Thanks for your reply. I originally noticed a problem in a bracelet I made where the knotting bacame uneven in certain areas of the pattern, and also that one of the knots in the pattern had a tendency to do a "half-flip". I then noticed in sets of photos for patterns that some patterns had photos with mostly fairly even knotting, whereas other patterns had photos which showed a lot of flaws. I wondered if this was due to the particular knotting, and whether there might be some kind of rule to determine the best choice of knot when there is freedom to do this.
