i need a lot of help...i dont know what to if you want it to be straight, but only a halff of the square on graph paper is covered, what do i do for that?

Well, I usually turn the graph paper by 45? - that way, you can cover each and every square.

The other way - reserved for simpler patterns, I'm afraid - is to use large dots for the knots. You simply put one dot on each point the lines cross and another one in the middle of the square.
