Determining the length of an alpha pattern by Syvelocin 9 months ago

Just started doing alphas but I'm curious if there is a way to determine how long a specific dimension pattern will turn out? I would like to take a smaller pattern and put it in the middle of the bracelet but I don't know how much plain background to tie before and after the pattern because I have no clue what length the pattern is going to take.

Is there a way to estimate that? For instance, I'm looking at a pattern that is 23x68

When you start doing alphas, start seeing how many rows you make per inch and then you can use it in the future. NOrmally it's about 13 or 14 rows per inch.
