Keep knot ends from unraveling and fraying. by IceyDreams 10 months ago

A little handy tip I taught myself for when you snip ends and don't want your knots to unravel out, I use a clear gel superglue. And depending on what type of thread or string you are using, I suppose singing the ends would be another option, but I wouldn't singe the ends if you're using embroidery floss. D:

Hehe, I prefer super glue because it dries fast and it dries clear. Plus you know for a -fact- that won't be coming off anytime soon or easily.

that is a good idea, but do you think a hot glue gun will work?

I personally don't think I would consider a glue gun, only because its hard to not get a steady amount, maybe if you had a mini one, you could try, but I don't recommend it because the lever doesn't always give a steady flow.

Also autumnrose Elmer's glue is water soluble so if you are going to get the bracelet wet it is not such a good idea.

^ Was just going to mention that, school and wood glue I don't recommend for any kind of string or fabric work. They are named after what they're used for specifically. ;)

After using super glue and everything else, over my years of friendship bracelet making, the best thing that seems to work for me is clear nail polish!
