Send PM		Hello everyone!

I want to make the superman normal pattern that you can find here

into a keychain.. however I don't want it to be double sided .. I saw really nice tutorial on the double sided keychain bracelet..

I saw the Larks head knot for keychains as well but am wondering if it will miss up the strings order..


any idea how I can start my keychain bracelet with even line?

first time doing a keychain bracelet =)

I came across this tut.. which I find amazing but I don't want to do the double sides =)
and if I do use the double sides, am worried I wont be able to figure out how to make it upside down -,-

Send PM		When I make keychain I use a D-ring instead of a circle key-ring. The d-ring has a flat surface which allows for a straight start. I hope this advice can help you :)

Send PM		i usually tie all my strings together in a loose knot, clip the knot into a clipboard, and tie on my first row (for an alpha). then, after a few rows, the knots will become straighter. you can always pull them straight too. that's only on alphas though. i have no idea about what to do on a normal pattern... ]:

Send PM		thanx for the replies.. still could not figure it out! the knot will mess up the strings order. the D-ring is not enough for all the strings.. maybe divide them? hmmm

I am using a different method right now.. tape the strings in order! will see if that works =)

Send PM		try putting the keychain on at the end of the pattern. I have a disability and ran into the same problem. just leave enough string to do so.

Send PM		the tape did a great job holding the strings ... now I cannot finish it =( I cut the extra strings from one side after tying them, but then glueing them to secure the knots did not work.

I tried to use the keychanin ring.. but the bracelet is wider than the ring -,-

hmmmm jjay37, I finished the pattern and did not have enough strings.. but will try yours when am going to do another keychain bracelet


for now... I am trying to figure out how to fix this one.. used ribbon Clamp but the ones I have are small so I needed 2 of them.. then the gap between them was not looking good.. coz the strings will show up xD

=\ not sure if I did it correctly! anyway this is the pattern I made! I messed up the finishing with the clams... combining 2 small ones created a gap in between that shows the messy finish knots.


any help how to make this work?
