OMG I see what you mean! When did that change? Use the one that looks like a chart and just put the correct colors where they should be. does that make sense? :-)

Do you mean why do they all look like upside-down Ls? If that is what you mean -- there are actually two patterns: one horizontal (at the top), and one vertical (underneath it, separated by a small white space). You only need to use one pattern.

I'm guessing the site provides both in case you want to make something wider, like a phone case. Generally speaking, you would use the vertical pattern (the long skinny one on the bottom) for a bracelet. Disregard the other one.

some like to make theirs going horizontally for a fone case or wall hanging like zombiequeen said or veritcal for a bracelet.

Oh, and... if it's a square pattern like this one --

-- then it is entirely up to you which one of the two patterns to use. It all depends on which way you'd like the design to be positioned on your bracelet (or phone case, or whatever you're making).

generally for the square one like that ppl would have the fruit of that pattern mentions pointing out. not down the bracelet... just would seem easier i suppose. if they don't plan on doing substitution method
