Is it possible to use GIMP to help make Alpha Patterns? by melbel 12 years ago

For me, it's kind of hard making Alpha Patterns in the generator. Is it possible to use GIMP to help make them?

Most people use graph paper. Some people use paint. I haven't heard of anyone using GIMP, though. I don't know if it is possible, but it'd probably be better if you use one of the other two things to help.

If you aren't sure how to do it on MSPaint, the easiest way is to magnify to 800% (or 8x) go to your top menu bar and click VIEW -> Show Grid.
You have to be magnified to do this.

This method is usually good for very large Alpha Patterns.
Graph paper is much better for smaller ones.
Hope this helped! ^_^

GIMP is actually the only way I make my alpha patterns.

I stand corrected. Haha, oh well.

If ever I had to render a picture in an Alpha Pattern, I'd just use my Photo Pearls software and problem solved!
